Statement on FAA Directive for MD-10 Aircraft
On November 14, the Federal Aviation Administration issued a new emergency directive expanding flight restrictions for the MD-11 aircraft to include MD-10s and DC-10s. We're fully compliant with the directive, which includes our Flying Eye Hospital (an MD-10), and safety remains our top priority.

Meet Wondmagne, a dedicated teacher at Dorze Holo Primary School. He supports students in managing vision challenges and fully engaging in learning. With eye care training from Orbis, Wondmagne helps students access prescription glasses, leads the School Eye Health Club, and builds knowledge and confidence around their own eye health.

Two -Week Ophthalmic Training Project Wraps Up
Two week ophthalmic training project is underway
From July 21 to August 1, 2025, Orbis trained local doctors and nurses to prevent blindness and improve vision across Rwanda. This marks Orbis’s first-ever project in Rwanda and the 84th country the Flying Eye Hospital has visited since its first flight in 1982.
